Austin ISD implemented a 2nd grade universal screener in 2023-2024. We discuss the strategies implemented to achieve a successful first year including “flipped” trainings, open communication, data tracking, family resources, and creating local norms. We share lessons learned from our first year to help you with your future implementation.
